A Bend Is Not An End!

One of the most important lessons I've learnt in life is, knowing that anyone heading somewhere significant, purposefully, etc., will always encounter great opposition from mediocre minds. Talk about the inevitable crisis of life for those who know where they're headed; few of them overcome and get to their destination, gaining so much along the way.

Wisdom doesn't come overnight, neither does success come over night. Show me a man or woman who walks in the wisdom of God and I'll show you one who's being through the crisis of life and came out successfully. Success on the other hand is not attained without struggles and failures; those who attain success in the right way will attest to their countless road bends and turns, failures and moments of total hopelessness. I'll say this, never mistaken a bend on the road for the end of your journey.

Proverbs 24:15-1615 Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous. Do not plunder his resting place;16 For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

God never promises that you'll not fall in your righteous walk, He never promises that you'll not fail, what He says is that though you fall, you'll rise again, though you fail, He'll uphold you such that you do not fall beyond the limit you can take. A righteous man may encounter failure, but by the and of the Almighty God, he rises again.

For every journey, there will be bends on the road; many see these bends as the end of the journey. A bend is that point in your life when something you're used to comes to an end and a new venture is about to be introduced to you.
Anything can happen at a bend; there could be destiny accident, strange disappointment, failure, confusion at cross-roads, hopelessness at the absence of a clear road, etc. This is that point where many encounter opposition, meet with great obstacles, are attacked by anti-destiny forces and are met with difficulties that prevent them from moving on. One life's important lesson i learnt on my journey so far is that the only one that can stop you on your journey in life is YOU. Even if the devil uses these forces, he'll need your permission to carry them out.

When you're faced with a bend on the road, what do you do? Stay calm and say to yourself, all things work together for good to them that love God. In business, you may have taken a wrong decision, in marriage made a mistake, or in your field of study answered a few seemingly correct answers but you failed that class; does that make you a failure? No! One great thing about life is that life affords us many chances to correct our mistakes, it may not be in the same place where you're greatly opposed, it may not be the same business venture, it may not be the same marriage, but you'll be given a better chance and another opportunity to be successful......you're still moving to your destination.

Romans 8:2828 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

ALL things work together for good....all things, meaning, failure is working for your good, disappointment is working for your good, hatred is working for your good, persecution is working for your good, bankruptcy is working for your good, sickness and diseases are working for your good, strange disappointment is working for your good. Everything you encounter in life is not strange to God, He knows the way that you take and when He's done trying you, He'll bring you to the place He has prepared for you. Just keep calm at the bend and know what God is saying to you. Remember, all things are not working for the good of those who do not love God and without purpose. Locate your purpose, love God with all your heart and stay most connected to Him, even when it's darkest.

Man's difficulty I've learnt is always associated with His purpose. Most times, people give up when they're faced with crisis, but the womb of your success is the crisis. Success in life is not for those who have no faults, who have never fallen, who have never made mistakes, who have never been betrayed, back-stabbed, heartbroken, strangely disappointed, etc., these are the ugly components of success that people never talk about. Sadly, many pursue success expecting it to be all rosy, giving up when  they meet with oppositions.

God is looking for "die-hards", people that are willing to go all the way for His Kingdom, regardless of what the enemy throws at them. You can never miss it with God, you can never fail with God, you can never be grounded with God. When there's a bend on the road, it's important that you remain calm and know what God is saying and where he's leading you.

1 Kings 17 - Elijah was a man with a great destiny. Being prepared for a particular assignment, first God sent him to the brook Cherith where he was fed by ravens morning and night. But the brook dried up. Did that stop Elijah from continuing on his journey? He looked up to God who knew the source of that dryness and he also knew that he could not be grounded with God. HE was calm to hear God lead him to the next place of training and fulfillment of his destiny. Elijah was told to move on the the widow....... To make an impact in life, you'll have to follow the process and trust me, it is not the easiest.

For any man or woman of purpose, what people regard as failure or a closed door, they look at as a passing phase, a stepping stone and keep moving. Their purpose is paramount to any form of limitation, opposition and failure. They are pushed by their purpose, they keep moving regardless of the level of crisis thrown their way. If God is in it with you, it may seem that the enemy has the upper hand, it may seem that the plan of the wicked have prevailed, it many seem that your life has been shut down, but believe me, it's only the beginning of great things if you do not give up. Only stay connected to Jesus Christ. He's no respecter of persons, He's the beginning and the end, the author and finisher of our faith, One whose plan and purpose can never be thwarted. Just keep calm for His voice and direction. You cannot miss it at that bend.

A bend at the road is a period to slow down, get over the battles from the previous places you've been, gather your experiences, get a new attitude, get more creative and keep moving. You're headed to a new place, a place prepared for you to reveal the glory of God. Hold on firmly to God alone in your crisis, hold on firmly to the faith founded on Jesus Christ alone and you'll surely get to your end with much celebration, success and wisdom.

Your life remains down only if you want it to, it remains a failure if you stay down. The only one that can keep you down and out is YOU.

Psalm 145:14

14 The Lord upholds all who fall,And raises up all who are bowed down.

As long as you're with God and God is with you, never say never. Don't stop moving. Just look and see how God will take advantage of whatever the enemy throws at you and turn it around for His own glory. God is that Faithful, Loving and True.
